See THURSDAY's new video for "Application for Release of the Dream"

Comeback single gets a stunning visual

Back in April, Thursday offered up their first new song in 13 years, the cathartic "Application for Release From the Dream." Today (June 21st), the post-hardcore veterans have teamed with Revolver on multiple fronts: Thursday appear on one of the collectible covers of our new Summer 2024 Issue, which comes paired with a limited-edition etched 12-inch of the single on white vinyl. Revolver is also premiering the new music video for "Application for Release From the Dream" right here right now.

The vivid clip was edited by Thursday's own Geoff Rickly and Steve Pedulla, and features performance footage filmed by Liza De Guia, Drew Painter, Chris Kopinto, Tony Coon and Gabriel Martins. The video powerfully juxtaposes that live footage with images of urban decay and conflagration.

"We're forced to live so many lives during one lifetime, and you can often feel like you want out and off the carousel to be free of life and all its pains and joys," Rickly says of "Application for Release From the Dream" in Revolver's cover story. "I wanted to write a song that is like an agreement that though we all may want to get off the carousel sometime, try not to give into the despair and stay engaged with the ability of life."

You can pre-order Revolver's new Summer Issue featuring Thursday on the cover, along with the limited "Application for Release From the Dream" etched 12-inch, at our shop.
