See JAMES HETFIELD and ROB HALFORD rock out to TURNSTILE's Tons of Rock set

No mystery here, they loved it

Turnstile's rise through the ranks of hardcore and up into the mainstream has brought them a lot of fans these past few years. Understandably, the Turnstile love connection continued this past weekend at Oslo's Tons of Rock festival, where they played to thousands of hardcore fans. Awesomely, the set also found both Judas Priest's Rob Halford and Metallica's James Hetfield rocking out sidestage.

Turnstile initially posted a short video of last Friday's set to their Instagram stories, which showed Papa Het bangin' his cowboy hat and singing along to the band's quick-clip Glow On standout "T.L.C. (Turnstile Love Connection)." Halford seems a little more reserved, but nevertheless keeps a keen eye on Turnstile.

You can see their reactions below.

It should be mentioned that Metallica and Judas Priest were on the festival grounds because their bands were also playing Tons of Rock. Metallica's headlining set took place last Wednesday (June 26th), while Judas Priest were playing the same stage shortly after Turnstile.

Of course, Halford and Hetfield aren't the only veteran metalheads to have show support for Turnstile. Anthrax's Scott Ian covered the band's "Holiday" with his son Riley back in 2022, while last year Mastodon's Bill Kelliher went on record calling Glow On "fuckin' great."
