After missing a few Anthrax dates earlier in the spring, Frank Bello is primed and ready to get back onstage — though apparently as the new touring bassist for black-metal institution Satyricon.

The long-running Norwegian outfit made a low-key reveal in an Instagram post yesterday (May 27th), while announcing that they are ready to "fire up the engine again" for a series of fest dates. The post included a band photo from the rehearsal room, with Bello tucked in the back row. (While in Norway, Bello's also been peepin' the country's National History museum.)

The Satyricon dates start with an appearance at Sweden's Rock and Mystic on June 6th, and they'll be bouncing around Europe for other shows between now and August. They likewise have a set booked at Mexico's MXMF Metal Fest in November.

"As you can imagine, we look immensely forward to seeing all Satyricon Ultras across the world again," the band wrote regarding their tour schedule, which you can see here in full.

As previously reported, Bello had to pull out of a series of South American Anthrax shows in March and April over "personal issues." The Big 4 thrashers' founding bassist, Dan Lilker, ended up filling in as their four-stringer, marking his first performances with the band in 40 years.
