Get your raincoats ready. While GWAR are wrapping up the first leg of their "The Age of Entitlement" tour tonight (June 17th), the goo-spraying, phallus-swingin' Scumdogs are already looking forward to another era. The long-running act have just announced that "The Stoned Age" tour begins this fall, and it'll find them joined by Dark Funeral and Squid Pisser.
GWAR's late 2024 trek kicks off October 17th at Las Vegas' House of Blues, with "The Stoned Age" running a 27-show loop around the U.S.
While Squid Pisser — the long-running noise-rock project of semi-recently instated GWAR guitarist Tommy Meehan — will be present for all the dates, Dark Funeral will be replaced by Canadian hardcore stalwarts Cancer Bats on a quartet of shows.
GWAR vocalist Blóthar the Berserker had this to say about the newly-announced trip: "Get ready to mumble!!! On this tour we will CHRONIC-le the embarrassing loser takes all choice between a neurodivergent fascist and a desiccated mummy to be the leader of the free world. What could possibly go wrong?"
Tickets for the newly-announced run of "The Stoned Age" dates go on-sale this Friday (June 21st).
Before The Stoned Age takes place, though, GWAR will resume The Age of Entitlement tour with Brujeria, BRAT and Cancer Christ (the latter also featuring mask aficionado Meehan) for a handful of dates this September, and likewise perform a pair of festival appearances at Des Moines Knotfest and Chicago's Riot Fest.
