Band drops bonkers visual for Ministry track featured on Burn the Priest covers record

Earlier this year, Lamb of God decided to surprise everyone and return to their original Burn the Priest moniker. Under this new-old name, they released Legion: XX, a tribute to the songs that shaped the band's identity during its formative stages. Every strand of DNA in the Lamb of God oeuvre is mulled over, from the pure hardcore of Bad Brains' "I Against I" to the crossover madness of Stormtroopers of Death's "Kill Yourself."

They've given a special treatment to one such cover, as today Burn The Priest/Lamb of God have released an animated video for their take on Ministry's classic "Jesus Built My Hotrod." The animation is gritty and psychedelic, following a certain white-haired, bearded driver behind the wheel of an enormous hotrod as he speeds down a highway.

Animated versions of the band appear from time to time with shots of the hotrod playing behind them. The car outruns cops, picks up a variety of hitchhikers (including an alien), gets itself into a Mad Max scene, and later, drives straight into hell. They pack together all the sights and scenes one would hope to observe while trekking in a gnarly vehicle, all in one place.

Below, watch Lamb of God's Randy Blythe talks about why "Jesus Built My Hotrod" turned out to be fun to cover, how LOG recorded all the sample parts themselves and the fact that the cover is the only recording out of the group's 24-year existence where all five members have a vocal part.
