See Jerry Cantrell Play Alice in Chains Songs With Greg Puciato at Solo Show

Former Dillinger Escape Plan frontman joined Cantrell at L.A.'s Pico Union Project

Last night (December 6th), Alice in Chains' Jerry Cantrell played the first of two sold-out solo shows at the Pico Union Project in Los Angeles, California. (The second show is tonight, December 7th). When the singer-guitarist-songwriter announced the concerts, billed as "An Evening With Jerry Cantrell," this fall, he described them by saying that he would be "accompanied by some cool friends performing songs you might expect, others I haven't played in quite a while and maybe even one or two that I never have." The show lived up to the hype. Cantrell was joined by two former Dillinger Escape Plan members, singer Greg Puciato (currently of the Black Queen) and drummer Gil Sharone (Saudade), as well as bassist James Lomenzo (Megadeth, Black Label Society) and sometime Marilyn Manson producer and guitarist Tyler Bates. As for the setlist, it incorporated Alice in Chains classics, songs from his solo career and a few choice covers (of CCR and Elton John). See fan-shot footage above and below, as well as the full setlist, courtesy of setlist.fm.
