Hear FEVER 333's first song with new lineup "$wing"

Rap-rock rabble-rousers return with first music in 3 years

Back in October, two-thirds of the Fever 333 — guitarist-vocalist Stephen "Stevis" Harrison and drummer Aric Improta — abruptly announced that they'd quit the politically charged rap-metal band, leaving only frontman Jason Aalon Butler, who notably used to sing for letlive.

Butler quickly revealed his plans to continue with the group, and today (May 31st), Fever 333 have returned with their first song with the band's new lineup, the punchy, hooky "$wing." Listen above via it's high-octane music video.

"In a system that exploits the aforementioned instruments of power (the people) for financial and political advancement, we must collectively understand and redirect the dynamic once we realize that we are not powerless against it," Butler said of the song. "'$wing' is a sonic reminder that you are the power that they seek and you are the resource they need."

Now expanded to a four-piece, Fever 333's current lineup is rounded out by guitarist Brandon Davis, viral bass virtuoso April Kae and drummer Thomas Pridgen (The Mars Volta, Thundercat, Trash Talk).

"This new era of Fever 333 is beyond even what I could have imagined," Butler commented. "The talent, the funk, the passion and the respect for this project April, Thomas and Brandon have already delivered have shown me, once again, that this project is something more than a band onstage."
