Hear Doom Titans Bongripper's Crushing New Song "Slow"

Chicago-based quartet offer first taste of epic 2-song album 'Terminal'

Chicago-based doomsayers Bongripper never needed anything from anyone. The entirety of the band's career is based on word of mouth, gathering steam because of their excellent work displayed on Bandcamp — specifically, the 2010 underground staple Satan Worshipping Doom and the underground ripples caused by it's release. From there, the group took to the road for short stints, played several key festivals domestically and abroad, and basically got everywhere on their own steam, sans publicist, label or any of the above. In an age of information overload, their success — and that of Sheer Mag, as well — is an indication that if the music is good enough, it can cut through the noise and find its audience.

Bongripper is now readying their latest release Terminal to hit on July 6th (you can pre-order it here now). The follow up to 2014's Miserable, the LP was recorded/mixed/mastered by band member Dennis Pleckham and will see the light of day via their own imprint The Great Barrier Records on vinyl, CD and digital formats. The two-track, 40-plus-minute LP follows the pattern set in the past by the boys: epic, proggy doom with multiple converging parts that make those epic songs fly right by. Revolver is proud to present a segment of the first track "Slow" (the second track being "Death," naturally), available for the first time here. Stream it below and make sure and catch the guys on the road.
