Gothic alchemist Chelsea Wolfe has given Spiritbox's "Cellar Door" single a moody makeover, transforming the Canadian outfit's doomy djent-metal piece into a lithe and spectral acoustic cover. Wolfe notably cited "Cellar Door" as one of her favorite songs of 2023.

The singer-songwriter's take on Spiritbox's Fear of Fear standout was cut during a recent trip to the U.K., which found Wolfe recording at the BBC's famed Maida Vale studio, and a second studio for BBC Radio Music 6. Songs from both sessions were broadcast last night (April 29th) via BBC Radio 1's Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter.

As you can hear via the TikTok teaser below, Wolfe's "Cellar Door" is aglow with acoustic finger-picking and the musician's familiar gloom-casted vibrato vocal. It's a wow-worthy remake, with Spiritbox vocalist Courtney LaPlante noting her excitement over X.

You can hear both of Wolfe's BBC sets over here, with the "Cellar Door" cover picking up at 1:40:33.
