If you were wondering who Slipknot had whaling behind the drum kit for their shows over the past week, wonder no more, Maggot. This morning (April 30th), the nu-metal nonet officially revealed that former Sepultura skinsman Eloy Casagrande has slipped on a mask to become Slipknot's latest drummer

The confirmation comes via Instagram, where a new band photo — which you can see down below — has been tagged with Casagrande's account.

The Brazilian drummer had been playing with Sepultura since 2011, but quit earlier this year to join "another project." He replaces Jay Weinberg, who felt "heartbroken and blindsided" by Slipknot's decision to let him go last year, after a decade-long run with the band.

Casagrande just played his first two shows with Slipknot: a super intimate gig at Pappy + Harriet's in Pioneertown, Caifornia, last Thursday (April 25th), as well as the band's festival appearance at Las Vegas' Sick New World over the weekend. The group also revealed earlier this morning that they're heading off on their "Here Comes the Pain" tour with Knocked Loose this summer to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their self-titled album.

While we now know Casagrande's role in Slipknot, it's notable that only eight of the nine Slipknot members were tagged in the IG post. We're still awaiting word on who has slipped into the mix to replace multi-instrumentalist Craig Jones, who had also exited the band in 2023.
