SEEYOUSPACECOWBOY announce new album: Hear 2 new songs

'Coup De Grâce' features Spiritbox's Courtney LaPlante, Kim Dracula and more

SeeYouSpaceCowboy have evolved from sassy grind to emotive metalcore to eclectic post-hardcore, and their upcoming third album is shaping up to be their most ambitious yet.

The San Diego band helmed by frontwoman Connie Sgarbossa have announced Coup De Grâce, a baroque-themed post-hardcore epic that features guest appearances from Spiritbox's Courtney Barnett, Kim Dracula and others.

Today (March 5th), SYSC are previewing the record with two singles, "Respite for a Tragic Tale" and "Silhouettes in Motion."

The former is a moody piano ballad that centers vocals theatrical vocals from iRis.EXE, while the latter is a rip-roaring post-hardcore track with sassy yelps, breakdowns, hand-claps and a killer clean chorus.

"This album was a chance for us to refine some of the melodic elements we had recently introduced to the band," Sgarbossa commented.

"The hope is that we made something that mixes the innate emotion of post-hardcore with the cathartic essence of dancing and allure of cabaret/burlesque — in a package reflecting the tale of a city on fire, and it's all too tragic individuals."

Coup De Grâce is out April 19th via Pure Noise Records, and it's now available for pre-order.
