MELVINS and BORIS announce massive co-headlining tour

Playing 'Bullhead' and 'Heavy Rocks' in full
Boris Melvins split 1600x900

The Melvins have influenced countless bands throughout their 40-year history, and chief among them are the Japanese noise-metal veterans Boris, who literally got their name from a Melvins song.

That track, "Boris," appeared on the Seattle sludge-grunge pioneers' 1991 classic, Bullhead, and later this year, Melvins will be playing that album in full every night on a massive co-headlining tour with Boris themselves — who'll be playing their own fan-favorite, 2002's Heavy Rocks, at each stop.

The seven-week U.S. trek begins August 24th in L.A. and will travel throughout the entire country for nearly two months before wrapping up October 14th in San Diego. In addition to the aforementioned full-album performances, Melvins and Boris will also be playing other songs from throughout their prolific careers.

It sounds like a fucking blast, and tickets for the whole shebang go on sale Friday June 9th at 10 a.m. local time. See the full list of dates below.
